G3SG1 | Safari Mesh (Field-Tested)
The G3SG1 | Safari Mesh (Field-Tested) is a Consumer Grade autosniper skin, its earthy camo showing a bit of honest wear. Field-Tested is the middle grade and the most common way to own the finish.
Design
The look is an earthy mesh camo across the G3SG1, sprayed through fencing and cardboard stencils for a rough, improvised military texture — a Valve-made finish. It comes with a fitting quote: "A predator is a predator, no matter the environment."
G3SG1 | Safari Mesh (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
On a 0.06 to 0.80 scale, Field-Tested lands in the middle, where light scratching starts to appear on edges and raised metal. The muted camo hides minor wear well and stays clearly readable, so most copies still look solid at a glance. This is the grade most players picture, and it's the balance point between looks and cost.
G3SG1 | Safari Mesh Rarity
Rarity: Consumer Grade — the white tier forming the floor of the standard weapon grades. As the most common class, it keeps the finish among the more accessible G3SG1 options.
G3SG1 | Safari Mesh Case and Collection
Part of The Mirage Collection, this finish first appeared in November 2013. The collection has no weapon case, so regular copies come from the market and collection drops, while Souvenir copies are drawn from Major-tournament packages.
G3SG1 | Safari Mesh Patterns
There's no random pattern roll here. The mesh camo is placed the same on every copy, so no paint seed or "blue gem" is worth chasing — copies differ only in wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
This finish has no StatTrak variant, since kill counters ride along with case drops and the skin never shipped in a weapon case. It does have a Souvenir version: it launched in the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package and came back through later Major souvenir packages, each distributed at its own Major tournament.
G3SG1 | Safari Mesh Price
Field-Tested is the value pick of the range — cheaper than the two higher grades while keeping the camo looking solid. For most buyers it's the practical entry point, premium-leaning for a G3SG1 yet still easy on the wallet. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Does the Field-Tested Safari Mesh look worn?
Only lightly. There's some scratching on edges and raised areas, but the muted camo disguises it well, so a Field-Tested copy reads solid to most eyes. That wear-hiding quality helps make this the most popular grade — you keep the rugged field look for a lower price than the higher wears.
Is Field-Tested the best value grade?
For most buyers, yes. It costs less than Factory New and Minimal Wear while the camo stays clearly readable, and it's the easiest grade to find on the market. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred go cheaper if you want the lowest price and don't mind heavier scuffing on the finish.
What does the Safari Mesh flavor text say?
It carries the line "A predator is a predator, no matter the environment," which leans into the finish's field-camo theme. The quote shows on the inspect screen and is identical on every copy — it doesn't change with wear grade, so a Field-Tested example reads the same line as a Factory New one.
