M249 | Deep Relief (Field-Tested)
The M249 | Deep Relief (Field-Tested) is a Mil-Spec Grade machine-gun skin with a sand-colored top layer that gives way to darker greens beneath. Field-Tested is the most common way to own it, adding a bit of honest wear to the layered look at a friendly price.
Design
Deep Relief layers a sand-colored surface over deeper green tones for a carved, sculpted texture — a paint job with genuine depth rather than a flat graphic. The palette stays earthy and military-leaning throughout. It's a community finish from VisHomin, and it ships with the line "How many bullets to get to the center?"
M249 | Deep Relief (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
On the finish's full 0.00–1.00 float range, Field-Tested lands in the middle. Light scratching and fading appear at this grade, but the layered sand-and-green surface hides them fairly well and keeps its depth. For an earthy M249 at a moderate price, this is the grade most players choose.
M249 | Deep Relief Rarity
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade — the blue tier and the most common of the standard weapon grades, which is why the finish is so easy to find and cheap to own.
M249 | Deep Relief Case and Collection
Field-Tested copies come from The Operation Broken Fang Collection, which launched with Operation Broken Fang in December 2020, dropping from the Operation Broken Fang Case. The Mil-Spec tier accounts for most pulls at roughly 79.92% (a figure shared across the tier), so this finish turns up often.
M249 | Deep Relief Patterns
The finish is fixed, so the paint seed doesn't factor in — the sand-and-green layers sit identically on every copy, and there's no blue-gem roll to seek out. Wear grade and float are the sole variables that tell one copy apart from another.
StatTrak & Souvenir
You can also find a StatTrak™ Deep Relief from the Operation Broken Fang Case, which adds a confirmed-kill counter; that counter is permanent and never gets wiped when the skin is traded or sold. A Souvenir edition doesn't exist here, because Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament packages and this finish was never part of one.
M249 | Deep Relief Price
Field-Tested is the more accessible grade of an already affordable finish, cheaper than the top grades while keeping the layered look intact — one of the most economical ways to run a sculpted M249. It's the value entry point here. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Does the Field-Tested Deep Relief look worn?
Only mildly. Some scratching and light fading show up at this grade, but the layered sand-and-green surface disguises them fairly well and keeps its depth, so the skin holds its sculpted look in-game. Given how affordable the finish is, Field-Tested delivers most of the appeal for a small outlay.
Is Field-Tested the best value Deep Relief?
For most buyers, yes. It's the most common grade and cheaper than the top two while looking close to them thanks to a wear-hiding surface. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred cost even less if you want the floor price and don't mind heavier fading on the sand-and-green layers.
Where does Deep Relief come from?
It's part of The Operation Broken Fang Collection, added with Operation Broken Fang in December 2020, and it drops from the Operation Broken Fang Case. As a Mil-Spec finish it's the most common tier in that case at about 79.92%, so it's easy to obtain and sits at an affordable price across the wear grades.
