M249 | Hypnosis (Well-Worn)
The M249 | Hypnosis (Well-Worn) is a Mil-Spec Grade M249 finish with a black and blue hypnotic pattern, here showing clearer, heavier wear. It's a cheaper way into the bold swirling look, giving up some surface condition for a lower price.
Design
At its core this finish is a swirling black and blue pattern sprayed across the gun, high-contrast lines designed to mesmerize the eye. The community artist SerQ made it, and it ships with a fitting quote in-game: "Focus on the sound of my voice."
M249 | Hypnosis (Well-Worn) Float and Wear
Within the full 0.00 to 1.00 float span, Well-Worn sits high on the wear scale. Scuffing and paint loss spread across the edges and shroud, and the blue thins out in exposed areas — yet the hypnotic swirl still holds as the detail that keeps the skin readable. For price-first buyers it delivers the design for less.
M249 | Hypnosis Rarity
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade, the blue tier and the most common class among standard weapon skins. That makes it a low-barrier finish rather than a scarce collectible.
M249 | Hypnosis Case and Collection
Part of The Gallery Collection from the October 2024 Armory update, this finish drops from the Gallery Case, where its Mil-Spec tier fills roughly 79.9% of the pool. The case remains in circulation, so copies can be unboxed or picked up on the market.
M249 | Hypnosis Patterns
The look is fixed rather than randomized, so the paint seed has no effect on appearance and each copy shows the swirl identically. Nothing like a blue-gem seed exists to track down — wear and float are the sole variables between copies.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak edition of this finish is available, bringing a confirmed-kill counter that stays permanent and never gets wiped across trades or sales; it's a scarcer, more expensive drop from the Gallery Case than the plain skin. There's no Souvenir version, since Souvenir weapons are minted only in Major-tournament packages and this finish never appeared in one.
M249 | Hypnosis Price
Well-Worn sits near the bottom of the ladder, above only Battle-Scarred, making it one of the cheaper ways into an already affordable, budget-to-mid M249 finish. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
How rough does the Well-Worn look?
Fairly rough. There's clear scuffing and paint loss along the edges and shroud, with the blue worn thin in exposed spots — heavier than Field-Tested but short of Battle-Scarred. The hypnotic swirl survives well enough to keep the skin recognizable in-game.
Is Well-Worn worth buying over Field-Tested?
Mostly if price is your priority. Field-Tested looks noticeably better for a small step up in cost, so most buyers prefer it. Well-Worn makes sense when you want the swirling design as cheaply as possible without going all the way to the most battered grade.
Does the Hypnosis have a Souvenir version?
No. Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament souvenir packages, and this finish was never offered in one — it's a Gallery Case skin instead. So the only variants are the regular finish and a StatTrak edition; there's no Souvenir copy to look for on the market.
