M4A4 | The Battlestar (Well-Worn)

M4A4 | The Battlestar (Well-Worn)

The M4A4 | The Battlestar (Well-Worn) is a Covert rifle skin with a spaceship-interior theme — an olive-and-gray body, a dark-green receiver, and small yellow accent details, here in a more weathered state. It's a cheaper route into a distinctive Covert M4A4, with wear the muted palette partly disguises.

Design

At heart the finish is a space-station study: gray covers the forend, grip, and stock, a dark-green receiver runs through the center, and small yellow details supply the contrast. It started life as a community design by the artist Millenia, and it carries a fitting in-game line: "Beware those who speak of the watchtower."

M4A4 | The Battlestar (Well-Worn) Float and Wear

At Well-Worn the finish shows clear scuffing and paint thinning across the body and edges, where the olive-gray plating starts to break up. The dark-green receiver and yellow accents keep the skin identifiable, but there's no pretending this is a fresh exterior. Worth noting: because the finish is float-capped at 0.64, even the grade below this — Battle-Scarred — stays milder than a full-1.0 skin, so the step down from Well-Worn is gentler than usual. For players who care about the look more than the surface, this grade delivers the Battlestar theme for less.

M4A4 | The Battlestar Rarity

Rarity: Covert, the red tier — the highest grade of the standard weapon skins, one place above Classified. Covert is the scarcest kind of finish to unbox, and that rarity is central to the Battlestar's reputation.

M4A4 | The Battlestar Case and Collection

The Battlestar is part of The Wildfire Collection and drops from the Operation Wildfire Case, which released together with Operation Wildfire on February 17, 2016. As a group the Covert tier unboxes around 0.64% of the time (the rate is shared across the tier's skins), and with the case out of the active drop pool, supply is fixed — most copies are bought on the market rather than unboxed.

M4A4 | The Battlestar Patterns

The Battlestar carries no random pattern variation: the gray frame, green receiver, and yellow accents appear the same on every copy, which means there's no paint seed or "blue gem" to track. Copies differ from one another only by wear and float.

StatTrak & Souvenir

A StatTrak™ Battlestar does exist and adds a confirmed-kill counter; it's rarer and pricier than the plain drop, and the counter is permanent — it carries over whenever the item is traded or sold. There's no Souvenir variant, since Souvenir weapons are made only from Major-tournament packages, and this skin came out of a case instead.

M4A4 | The Battlestar Price

Well-Worn sits near the bottom of the ladder, below Field-Tested and above only Battle-Scarred — a budget way into a Covert M4A4 for players who won't pay the mid-grade premium. It's one of the cheaper routes to a genuine Battlestar in your loadout. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

How worn does the Well-Worn Battlestar look?

Noticeably. Expect visible scuffing and paint thinning across the body and edges — more than Field-Tested but short of the heavy battering of Battle-Scarred. The dark-green receiver and yellow accents keep the skin recognizable, so it still reads as the Battlestar in-game despite the added wear.

Is Well-Worn worth buying over Field-Tested?

Only if price is the priority. Field-Tested looks a good deal better for a modest step up in cost, so most buyers prefer it. Well-Worn makes sense when you want the Battlestar theme as cheaply as possible without dropping all the way to Battle-Scarred and its heaviest wear.

Which gloves match the Battlestar in a worn grade?

The same muted palette applies at any exterior. Gray or olive-green gloves sit naturally against the body, and wraps with small yellow or sandy touches echo the accent details. Keeping the gloves understated suits the weathered, utilitarian feel this grade already leans into.
