MP5-SD | Kitbash (Battle-Scarred)
The MP5-SD | Kitbash (Battle-Scarred, BS) is the most heavily worn version of this patchwork, duct-tape-and-zip-tie finish. It's the cheapest entry point into a premium, Restricted-tier skin, for buyers who value the design more than a clean surface.
Design
Twenty years of MP5 paint designs stitched into a single improvised weapon, held together with duct tape, zip ties, and glue — that's the concept SA_22 built the Kitbash around. The flavor line "If at first (and second and third) you don't succeed…" fits the scrappy identity that carries through every wear grade.
MP5-SD | Kitbash (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
Kitbash's float runs from 0.00 up to a capped 0.80 rather than the full 1.00, so Battle-Scarred here stops well short of the most extreme wear a skin can reach. Expect heavy scratching and dulled panel edges across the surface, with the patchwork layout still visible but noticeably rougher. The cap keeps this grade milder than an uncapped Battle-Scarred finish would be.
MP5-SD | Kitbash Rarity
Rarity: Restricted, the purple tier, sitting above Mil-Spec Grade and below Classified and Covert. Even at this worn grade, it's a genuinely uncommon skin to come across.
MP5-SD | Kitbash Case and Collection
This finish belongs to The Fracture Collection and comes out of the Fracture Case, first released in August 2020. As a Restricted finish, it drops at roughly 15.98% from that case, well below the common Mil-Spec rate.
MP5-SD | Kitbash Patterns
No paint seed variation exists on the Kitbash — every copy shows the identical patchwork layout, so there's nothing like a "blue gem" pattern worth chasing. Wear grade is the only meaningful difference between two copies.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak™ version, sourced from the same Fracture Case, tracks confirmed kills permanently and keeps that count intact through every trade or sale. Souvenir copies don't exist here either, since Souvenir weapons only ever come from Major-tournament packages, and this collection has never appeared in one.
MP5-SD | Kitbash Price
Battle-Scarred is the entry-level grade of the Kitbash lineup, priced below every other wear. Given the finish's premium standing overall, this grade offers the lowest-cost way to add it to a collection. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is Battle-Scarred the cheapest way to get the Kitbash?
Yes — it's the lowest grade on the price ladder, cheaper than Well-Worn (WW), Field-Tested (FT), Minimal Wear (MW), and Factory New (FN). It's the most accessible way into this otherwise premium, Restricted-tier finish.
Does heavy wear ruin the patchwork look?
Not entirely — the mismatched panels are still distinguishable even under heavy scratching, since the design relies on distinct sections rather than fine detail that would disappear with wear.
Why does Battle-Scarred reach such rough condition on the Kitbash?
Because the finish's float is capped at 0.80 instead of reaching 1.00, even Battle-Scarred copies stop short of the most extreme wear possible on a skin, unlike finishes that run the full 0.00–1.00 range.
