Negev | Lionfish (Battle-Scarred)

The Negev | Lionfish (Battle-Scarred) is a Restricted Negev skin at its most weathered, the spray-painted lionfish pattern carrying heavy use. It's the cheapest entry into the aquatic design, trading surface condition for the lowest price.

Design

At its core the finish is an ocean theme: a lionfish pattern of red bands and fin-like streaks sprayed across the Negev, drawn from the reef predator's markings. It was submitted by community artist PTP and carries the flavor line "Just keep swimming."

Negev | Lionfish (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear

Because the finish is float-capped at 0.55 rather than the full 1.0, even its Battle-Scarred copies never reach the most extreme end of the wear scale. You'll still see broad scratching and thinned paint across the body, but the damage stays a shade milder than a fully uncapped skin would show, and the lionfish reds remain readable underneath.

Negev | Lionfish Rarity

Rarity: Restricted — the purple, mid-table tier of the standard weapon grades and a rung above the common Mil-Spec blues. That places it among the uncommon drops, giving the finish a touch more standing than the base skins.

Negev | Lionfish Case and Collection

The skin is drawn from The Clutch Collection and unboxes from the Clutch Case, released in February 2018. Restricted, the tier this finish belongs to, pulls at about 15.98% from the case (a rate shared by the tier's skins), making it a rarer return than the base grades.

Negev | Lionfish Patterns

The lionfish pattern is applied the same to every unit, so the paint seed has no effect on the look and there's no blue-gem or lucky-seed variant to pursue. As with the rest of the grades, wear and float are the only meaningful differences between copies.

StatTrak & Souvenir

A StatTrak™ Lionfish is available as well, minted by the Clutch Case and fitted with a confirmed-kill counter that holds its total through trades and sales — it's never wiped. No Souvenir variant was produced, as Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament packages and this collection never appeared at a Major.

Negev | Lionfish Price

Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the finish, the entry-level way to run the aquatic look for players who value the design over a clean surface. If you want a Lionfish for as little as possible, this is the door in. Available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Is the Battle-Scarred grade still recognizable?

Yes. Despite the heavy scuffing and paint loss, the red banding and marine markings keep the design readable at normal in-game distance. Battle-Scarred is about accepting obvious wear for the lowest price, not losing the look — the Negev still reads clearly as a Lionfish.

Why doesn't the Battle-Scarred copy look completely destroyed?

Because the finish caps at a float of 0.55 rather than the full 1.0, its worst copies never hit the extreme end of the wear scale. The result is a Battle-Scarred grade that's genuinely worn but noticeably milder than an uncapped skin would look under the same label.

Is this the cheapest way to own the Lionfish?

Generally, yes. Battle-Scarred sits at the bottom of the price ladder, below Well-Worn, so it's the lowest-cost route to the aquatic lionfish look. If a tidier surface matters to you, step up to Field-Tested or higher; if price is the priority, this grade comes out ahead.
