Nova | Hyper Beast (Field-Tested)

Nova | Hyper Beast (Field-Tested)

The Nova | Hyper Beast (Field-Tested) is a Classified shotgun finish featuring a psychedelic, snarling creature in purple and green. Field-Tested is the most common way to own it — a touch of honest wear on artwork busy enough to shrug it off, at the range's most popular price.

Design

Hyper Beast wraps the Nova in a custom-painted creature soaked in psychedelic color, driven by purple and green swirls. The design is a community piece by frontaLOBE from the well-known Hyper Beast series, and it carries a menacing in-game line: "They call you The Oni, right? Such a scary name for such a sad man."

Nova | Hyper Beast (Field-Tested) Float and Wear

Across the finish's 0.00–0.60 float range, Field-Tested falls in the middle. Light scratching creeps in along the edges and raised parts, but the dense, colorful artwork hides it well, so the beast still reads clearly. It's the everyday grade most owners settle on — a lived-in feel without the design losing its punch.

Nova | Hyper Beast Rarity

Rarity: Classified — the pink tier, sitting one rung below Covert and second-highest among the standard weapon grades. It's a genuinely uncommon class to unbox, which keeps the finish sitting high in value.

Nova | Hyper Beast Case and Collection

This finish is part of The Wildfire Collection and is unboxed from the Operation Wildfire Case, released alongside Operation Wildfire in February 2016. The Classified tier pulls at roughly 3.2% from that case (odds shared across the tier), and with the case no longer in the active drop pool, supply stays fixed — buyers get most copies on the market.

Nova | Hyper Beast Patterns

The creature art spans the full shotgun, and where it lands can shift slightly by paint seed from one copy to the next. There's no known "blue gem" or premium seed to track down, though — those placement differences are minor, so wear and float remain the real separators between copies.

StatTrak & Souvenir

There is a StatTrak edition of this finish that adds a confirmed-kill counter; it's rarer and more expensive than the standard drop, and the counter is permanent — it never gets wiped when the item changes hands. No Souvenir version exists, because Souvenir weapons come solely from Major-tournament packages and the Operation Wildfire Case was never offered as one.

Nova | Hyper Beast Price

Field-Tested sits in the mid part of the ladder, cheaper than the top grades while keeping the artwork intact — the most accessible entry into what remains a high-end, grail-tier Nova finish. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Does the Field-Tested Hyper Beast look beat up?

Not much. Expect light scratching on the edges and raised surfaces, but the dense psychedelic artwork masks it well. From normal viewing distance the beast comes through vividly, which is why Field-Tested is the most popular grade buyers reach for on this finish.

Is Field-Tested the best value Hyper Beast?

For most buyers, yes. It's the most common grade and cheaper than Minimal Wear while still showing the artwork well thanks to the busy design. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred cost less again if you don't mind heavier wear, but Field-Tested is the usual sweet spot of looks and price.

Does the pattern matter on the Hyper Beast?

Only slightly. The full-weapon artwork shifts a little in placement depending on the paint seed, so no two copies frame the creature quite the same. There's no premium or "blue gem" seed collectors chase, however, so you can buy on wear and price without worrying about hunting a specific pattern.
