Nova | Walnut (Minimal Wear)
The Nova | Walnut (Minimal Wear) is a Consumer Grade Nova finish built around a figured walnut wood stock in warm brown. Minimal Wear keeps the grain looking nearly untouched, with only the faintest signs of handling.
Design
The look is classic and natural — a figured walnut stock in warm brown tones wrapping the Nova, evoking a traditional wood-stocked shotgun rather than a modern tactical one. Valve designed it, keeping things understated with real grain and no graphics or logos anywhere.
Nova | Walnut (Minimal Wear) Float and Wear
With the finish's float spanning 0.06–0.80, Minimal Wear falls just above the Factory New band. Any wear here is barely perceptible — a touch of edge softening at most — while the walnut grain stays warm and well-defined. For most buyers it looks all but identical to the top grade for less.
Nova | Walnut Rarity
Classified as Consumer Grade, this is the white tier — the entry rung of the standard weapon grades. Its everyday tier belies the finish's actual scarcity, since the collection behind it stopped producing new copies long ago.
Nova | Walnut Case and Collection
Part of The Inferno Collection, the finish debuted alongside the "Arms Deal" update in August 2013. No weapon case dispenses it; it circulates through collection drops, and with the collection retired, buyers pick copies up on the secondary market rather than by unboxing.
Nova | Walnut Patterns
There's no pattern lottery on this one. The finish is fixed, so the paint seed leaves the artwork alone and every unit carries the walnut grain identically — no blue gem, no premium seed, nothing to hunt beyond the wear grade itself.
StatTrak & Souvenir
You'll find this finish in a standard version and a Souvenir version, but never with StatTrak — that counter is added only through weapon cases, and no case ever carried the Inferno Collection. The Souvenir edition traces back to the ESL One Cologne 2014 Inferno Souvenir Package and reappeared in assorted later Major souvenir packages.
Nova | Walnut Price
Minimal Wear sits a step under Factory New on the price ladder while looking remarkably close to it, which makes it a smart pick within this finish. Even so, the retired-supply premium keeps it toward the upper end of the Nova lineup. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is Minimal Wear worth it over Factory New?
For most buyers, yes. The wood-grain finish hides the tiny amount of extra wear so well that Minimal Wear looks nearly the same as the top grade, and it costs a step less. Pay up for Factory New only if you want the highest grade on record and the grain at its absolute richest.
Does the Walnut show wear easily?
Not really. Because the finish is a warm matte wood grain rather than a glossy or metallic coat, light scratches don't jump out the way they would on a shinier skin. At Minimal Wear the result is that the walnut texture reads consistent and rich at any normal viewing distance.
How do you get a Walnut now?
Since The Inferno Collection is retired and never had a case, you can't unbox one fresh. The regular finish comes from old collection drops already in circulation and is traded on the market. Souvenir versions, separately, came from a string of Major-tournament souvenir packages handed out over the years.
