Nova | Toy Soldier (Battle-Scarred)

Nova | Toy Soldier (Battle-Scarred)

The Nova | Toy Soldier (Battle-Scarred) is a Restricted Nova skin in plastic-army-man green, worn to its roughest grade. Battle-Scarred is the cheapest condition, trading a battered surface for the lowest way into the design.

Design

At its core the finish is pure nostalgia: a single familiar shade of green coating the Nova to recall the little plastic army men of childhood, no decals or graphics involved. It's a community creation by the artist hexeth, and it bears the playful line "Pellets and soldiers delivered in bulk."

Nova | Toy Soldier (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear

Using the finish's full 0.00–1.00 float range, Battle-Scarred sits at the very top and wears its damage openly — heavy scuffing and broad paint loss across the body, with the green coat worn thin in places. It's the most weathered the skin gets, though the solid green keeps the toy-soldier theme readable even here.

Nova | Toy Soldier Rarity

Rarity lands at Restricted, the pink tier — an upper rung of the standard weapon grades, sitting above the blue Mil-Spec level. It's an uncommon grade whose appeal holds up across every wear condition.

Nova | Toy Soldier Case and Collection

Toy Soldier comes from The Horizon Collection, which arrived with the "A New Horizon" update in August 2018. The Restricted tier it occupies is pulled at roughly 15.98% from the Horizon Case, and since that rate is spread across the whole tier, any single finish at a given grade is a good deal harder to secure than the headline number.

Nova | Toy Soldier Patterns

This finish is fixed, so the paint-seed index has no bearing on how it looks — the solid green coat repeats the same on every copy. There's no rare seed or blue gem to seek, which leaves wear as the single meaningful difference between one unit and another.

StatTrak & Souvenir

It's offered as a regular finish and a StatTrak finish, the StatTrak version coming from the Horizon Case with a permanent, non-resetting kill counter that travels with the item. No Souvenir edition was ever produced, because Souvenir weapons come solely from Major-tournament packages and this finish was never featured in one.

Nova | Toy Soldier Price

Battle-Scarred is the entry grade, the cheapest route into the army-green design for players who care more about the look than a clean surface. It's still tethered to the finish's premium standing in the Nova lineup, so it isn't throwaway money, but it's as low as this ladder goes. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Is the Battle-Scarred version still recognizable?

Yes. Even with heavy scuffing and thinned paint, the familiar army green keeps the finish clearly readable in-game — it never turns into an unrecognizable mess. Battle-Scarred means accepting the most visible wear the skin offers in exchange for the lowest price, with the toy-soldier theme still intact.

Why choose Battle-Scarred over a cleaner grade?

Purely for cost. If you want Toy Soldier in your loadout for as little as possible and don't mind obvious wear, this grade delivers the design at the bottom of its price ladder. If a smoother green matters to you, Field-Tested or higher looks noticeably better for a step up in price.

Does the finish have a StatTrak version?

Yes. Alongside the regular finish there's a StatTrak Toy Soldier from the Horizon Case, which adds a permanent confirmed-kill counter that carries over whenever the item is traded or sold. There is no Souvenir version, though, since Souvenir weapons are handed out only through Major-tournament packages.
