Nova | Modern Hunter (Well-Worn)

Nova | Modern Hunter (Well-Worn)

The Nova | Modern Hunter (Well-Worn) is a Mil-Spec shotgun skin wearing a photographic hunting-camo print over a gray frame, here in a more weathered state. It's a cheaper route to the camo look, with wear the busy pattern still partly disguises.

Design

Modern Hunter puts a true field camouflage on the Nova, applied through a photographic hydrographic that keeps the print grounded in real-world texture. Valve made the finish, and the muted gray base steers it toward a rugged, outdoors aesthetic — the kind of low-key look that pairs with a tactical loadout.

Nova | Modern Hunter (Well-Worn) Float and Wear

Within the finish's 0.06–0.80 float range, Well-Worn sits near the high end. Scuffing and paint thinning become clearly visible across the body and the pump, though the camo print stays busy enough to keep the design recognizable rather than washed out. It's the grade for players who value price over a pristine surface.

Nova | Modern Hunter Rarity

Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade — the light-blue entry tier of the standard weapon grades. As the most common band it's easy to find and keeps costs down, even for a finish priced at the higher end of the Nova range.

Nova | Modern Hunter Case and Collection

Part of The Militia Collection, this finish debuted with the Arms Deal update in August 2013 among the game's original collections. That collection never had a weapon case attached, which is why its skins circulate through collection drops and the resale market instead of being pulled from a case.

Nova | Modern Hunter Patterns

The camo layout is locked in place — a fixed design that appears the same on all copies, with no random paint seed and no sought-after variant to track down. When comparing listings, the wear grade and float are the only meaningful differences between one copy and another.

StatTrak & Souvenir

You won't find a StatTrak Modern Hunter. StatTrak comes only from finishes released inside weapon cases, and this one has always been a Militia Collection drop with no case behind it. Souvenir copies are equally absent — that tag is created solely through Major-tournament packages, and the collection never appeared at a Major.

Nova | Modern Hunter Price

Well-Worn falls toward the low end of this finish's ladder, under Field-Tested and above only Battle-Scarred — a budget way into the camo look for players who won't pay the mid-grade rate. It gets the design onto your shotgun for less. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

How rough does the Well-Worn Modern Hunter look?

Fairly weathered. Expect visible scuffing and thinned paint across the body and pump — heavier than Field-Tested but not the full battering of Battle-Scarred. The dense camo pattern keeps the skin readable, so it still comes across as Modern Hunter rather than a generic worn shotgun in a match.

Is Well-Worn worth it over Field-Tested?

Mainly if price is your top concern. Field-Tested looks a step cleaner for a modest increase in cost, so most buyers lean that way. Well-Worn makes sense when you want the camo design as cheaply as possible without dropping all the way down to Battle-Scarred.

Why is a Mil-Spec skin priced at the higher end?

Rarity isn't the only factor in price. Modern Hunter's clean real-world camo and its status as an original Militia Collection finish give it demand beyond its common Mil-Spec grade, nudging it toward the premium end of the Nova range even in a worn condition like Well-Worn.
