Sawed-Off | Snake Camo (Battle-Scarred)
The Sawed-Off | Snake Camo (Battle-Scarred, BS) is an Industrial Grade shotgun finish in gray snakeskin camo, in its most heavily worn state. Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade, trading surface condition for the lowest entry price on the finish.
Design
A Valve-made finish, Snake Camo sprays a snakeskin stencil over a gray base and outlines the scaly patches freehand, giving a camo that already looks weathered by design. Its muted, tactical texture holds up surprisingly well even when the surface takes a beating.
Sawed-Off | Snake Camo (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
The finish is float-capped at 0.80 rather than the full 1.0, so Battle-Scarred copies never reach the most extreme wear — the damage is heavy, with wide scratching and paint loss across the body, but it stays a notch milder than a fully uncapped skin would at this grade. The camo remains recognizable throughout.
Sawed-Off | Snake Camo Rarity
Rarity: Industrial Grade, the light-blue tier down toward the base of the standard weapon grades. It's among the most common grades in the game, so copies are everywhere and prices stay low even at the top condition.
Sawed-Off | Snake Camo Case and Collection
Snake Camo comes from The Dust 2 Collection, introduced in November 2013. No case drops it, so the regular finish circulates via collection drops and trade-up contracts — meaning nearly everyone who owns one bought it on the market rather than unboxing it.
Sawed-Off | Snake Camo Patterns
Since the design is fixed, the paint-seed index makes no difference to the finish — every copy wears the snakeskin camo identically, with no rare seed or blue gem in play. Only the wear level and float set copies apart, even at this grade.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There's no StatTrak Snake Camo to buy; StatTrak items are minted purely from case drops, and this finish belongs to a collection instead. It does have a Souvenir counterpart to the regular version, first released in the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package and later at further Major tournaments through their souvenir packages.
Sawed-Off | Snake Camo Price
Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the finish, the entry-level way to run the camo for players who care about the look more than the condition. On a budget skin to start with, this is as inexpensive as it gets. Available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is Battle-Scarred Snake Camo still recognizable?
Yes. Even with heavy scratching and paint loss, the gray snakeskin pattern stays legible in-game, so it clearly reads as the finish. Battle-Scarred is about accepting visible wear for the lowest price, not losing the camo look — and the float cap keeps it from getting truly trashed.
Why doesn't Battle-Scarred look completely destroyed?
Because the finish is float-capped at 0.80 instead of the full 1.0, its Battle-Scarred copies stop short of the most extreme wear a fully uncapped skin can reach. The damage is clearly heavy, but the pattern stays readable and the surface never hits rock-bottom condition.
Is Battle-Scarred the cheapest way to own Snake Camo?
Yes. It's the lowest grade on the price ladder, so it's the most affordable route into the finish. Since the whole skin is already budget-priced, the saving over higher grades is modest — but if you just want the camo for as little as possible, this is the pick.
