The SCAR-20 | Grotto (Field-Tested, FT) is a Mil-Spec autosniper skin painted in sponged blue metallic effect paints. Field-Tested is the most common way to own it — a bit of honest wear on a blue finish that still reads clearly, at a friendly price.
Design
At its core the finish is a mottled blue built from sponged and brush-painted metallic effect paints, giving the surface a hand-worked shimmer. The design comes from community artist Algis, and it ships with an in-game line: "The founder of Season Corporation had this piece commissioned after being rescued by renowned Operator Kotaro Izaki."
SCAR-20 | Grotto (Field-Tested) Float and Wear
The finish spans a 0.00–0.50 float range, and Field-Tested lands in the middle of it. Here the blue paints pick up light scratching along the edges and contact points, and the shimmer dims a touch, but the sponged texture stays legible — this is the grade most players choose for the balance of look and cost.
SCAR-20 | Grotto Rarity
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade — the entry blue tier among the standard weapon grades. As the most common colored grade, it keeps this finish very approachable on price.
SCAR-20 | Grotto Case and Collection
This finish sits in The Chroma Collection and is unboxed from the Chroma Case, which arrived in January 2015. The Mil-Spec tier accounts for roughly 79.92% of the case's drops (that rate is spread across the tier's skins), so it's the grade you'll see most often — and the market is well-supplied.

Because the artwork is fixed, this finish carries no random pattern roll — the sponged blue design is placed the same on every copy, leaving no paint seed or "blue gem" to track down. Copies differ only by their wear and float.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There is a StatTrak Grotto, which brings a confirmed-kill counter along; it drops more rarely and costs more than the plain skin, and the counter is permanent, never getting wiped when the item is traded. Does the Field-Tested Grotto look worn?
A little. Expect light scratching along the edges and high-contact areas, and a slightly dimmer shimmer, but the blue paints stay defined enough to read clearly in a match. For most buyers it's the best mix of look and price, which is why it's the grade most players choose.
Is Field-Tested the best value grade?
Often, yes. It costs less than Factory New (FN) and Minimal Wear (MW) while keeping the blue legible, and it's the most common grade on the market. Well-Worn (WW) and Battle-Scarred (BS) are cheaper still if you'll accept heavier wear for the lowest entry price on the finish.
Is there a StatTrak Field-Tested Grotto?
