StatTrak™ MAC-10 | Tatter (Battle-Scarred)

What the StatTrak™ counter does

The StatTrak™ MAC-10 | Tatter (Battle-Scarred, BS) is the StatTrak™ copy of this skin — the same Restricted finish, the same look, with a kill counter built into the model. irecon and Klint designed the finish with a fiery red base under a high-tech pattern meant to evoke flames without drawing an explicit image. Battle-Scarred covers everything from 0.45 up to 1.00 float — the most heavily worn grade and the cheapest way into the skin.

What StatTrak™ changes about the price of the MAC-10 | Tatter

Every confirmed kill with this weapon adds one to the number printed on the model. The count lives on the item rather than the account, which is why it survives trades and sales intact — and why it can never be wound back down. A StatTrak™ Swap Tool moves a count between two StatTrak™ items of the same type, which is as close to a reset as the game allows.

Where a StatTrak™ copy comes from

Expect to pay more than for the plain version: StatTrak™ copies are much thinner on the ground at any given finish and exterior. The premium tracks the skin itself, not the counter — buyers pay for the finish and the float, and a big number adds little.

FAQ

The finish belongs to The Huntsman Collection and comes from the Huntsman Weapon Case, launched with The Hunt Begins update in May 2014. StatTrak™ is settled at the drop: a copy either leaves the case with a counter or never has one, and it cannot be added afterwards.

Can the StatTrak counter on the MAC-10 | Tatter be reset?

No. The count only moves one way and stays with the item through every trade and sale. A StatTrak™ Swap Tool moves a count between two StatTrak™ items of the same type, which is as close to a reset as the game allows. It still cannot lower the number.

Does StatTrak change how the MAC-10 | Tatter looks?

No, apart from the counter on the model. The finish, the pattern and the float range are identical to the plain version, so at the same exterior the two look the same in hand.
