Battle-Scarred covers everything from 0.45 up to 1.00 float — the most heavily worn grade and the cheapest way into the skin.

What the counter tracks is confirmed kills, shown as a running total on the model itself. It is tied to the item, not to the owner, so the number follows the skin from inventory to inventory and only ever goes up.
