What the StatTrak™ counter does
The StatTrak™ SCAR-20 | Cardiac (Factory New, FN) is the StatTrak™ copy of this skin — the same Classified finish, the same look, with a kill counter built into the model. Cardiac heat-wraps the SCAR-20 in a pre-printed vinyl of modern orange and blue, a high-contrast, graphic-forward look that plays warm against cool across the body. Factory New is the cleanest grade this skin comes in and the one buyers pay the most for, covering the 0.00–0.07 band of the float scale.
What StatTrak™ changes about the price of the SCAR-20 | Cardiac
Every confirmed kill with this weapon adds one to the number printed on the model. The count lives on the item rather than the account, which is why it survives trades and sales intact — and why it can never be wound back down. A StatTrak™ Swap Tool moves a count between two StatTrak™ items of the same type, which is as close to a reset as the game allows.
Where a StatTrak™ copy comes from
Expect to pay more than for the plain version: StatTrak™ copies are much thinner on the ground at any given finish and exterior. The premium tracks the skin itself, not the counter — buyers pay for the finish and the float, and a big number adds little.
FAQ
Cardiac is part of The Vanguard Collection and drops from the Operation Vanguard Weapon Case, released with Operation Vanguard in November 2014. StatTrak™ is settled at the drop: a copy either leaves the case with a counter or never has one, and it cannot be added afterwards.
Can the StatTrak counter on the SCAR-20 | Cardiac be reset?
No. The count only moves one way and stays with the item through every trade and sale. A StatTrak™ Swap Tool moves a count between two StatTrak™ items of the same type, which is as close to a reset as the game allows. It still cannot lower the number.
Does StatTrak change how the SCAR-20 | Cardiac looks?
No, apart from the counter on the model. The finish, the pattern and the float range are identical to the plain version, so at the same exterior the two look the same in hand.
