What the StatTrak™ counter does
The StatTrak™ SCAR-20 | Cardiac (Field-Tested, FT) is the StatTrak™ copy of this skin — the same Classified finish, the same look, with a kill counter built into the model. The Cardiac look is all contrast: a heat-wrapped orange-and-blue vinyl stretched over the SCAR-20, warm against cool, graphic and loud. Field-Tested spans 0.15–0.38 on the float scale — the middle grade, and usually the easiest one to find on the market.
What StatTrak™ changes about the price of the SCAR-20 | Cardiac
What the counter tracks is confirmed kills, shown as a running total on the model itself. It is tied to the item, not to the owner, so the number follows the skin from inventory to inventory and only ever goes up. A StatTrak™ Swap Tool moves a count between two StatTrak™ items of the same type, which is as close to a reset as the game allows.
Where a StatTrak™ copy comes from
The StatTrak™ premium comes from scarcity: far fewer copies exist at the same finish and exterior. It is the finish and the float that set the figure, though — the kill count on a given copy barely moves it either way.
FAQ
Part of The Vanguard Collection, Cardiac is unboxed from the Operation Vanguard Weapon Case that arrived with Operation Vanguard in November 2014. StatTrak™ is settled at the drop: a copy either leaves the case with a counter or never has one, and it cannot be added afterwards.
Can the StatTrak counter on the SCAR-20 | Cardiac be reset?
No. The count only moves one way and stays with the item through every trade and sale. A StatTrak™ Swap Tool moves a count between two StatTrak™ items of the same type, which is as close to a reset as the game allows. It still cannot lower the number.
Does StatTrak change how the SCAR-20 | Cardiac looks?
No, apart from the counter on the model. The finish, the pattern and the float range are identical to the plain version, so at the same exterior the two look the same in hand.
