Ever since we first saw the addition of the Kukri Knife to Counter-Strike 2, within “A Call To Arms” update, it was obvious that the knife is bound to be an instant success. Compared to many other simpler designs, the South-East Asian Kukri possesses a unique shape with a long curved blade that makes it extremely recognizable. Aside from a peculiar design of the blade itself, there are plenty of finishes that allow players to express themselves with unique colorways and patterns. No matter if you’re an avid skins collector or just a regular fan of Kukri Knives, the “Blue Gem” Case Hardened may be a great addition to anyone’s inventory if they’re lucky or wealthy. Within this guide, we’ll provide you with all the necessary info regarding the Kukri Knife Blue Gem patterns, tiers, market value and we’ll also provide you with a pattern index for each tier of Blue Gem patterns. Also, make sure to check out our other Blue Gem guides, including the Blue Gem Karambit guide  and the Skeleton Knife Case Hardened guide.

The Case Hardened Kukri

Being a relatively new addition to the game, the Kukri Knife | Case Hardened was designed by the in-house Valve designers and introduced to CS2 on February 6th, 2024 as part of "The First Actual CS2 Skins" update. However, the “Case Hardened” skin line is nothing new to the Counter-Strike veterans, as this particular finish has been gracing us with its magnificent presence since 2013. The design itself is meant to replicate the metallurgic process of termal treatment of a steel object, creating this visual effect of case hardening. While in reality this process is used for increased strength and wear resistance of metal, in Counter-Strike it serves the sole purpose of cool aesthetics, especially if you’re one of the lucky ones who have obtained the “Blue Gem” version of the Case Hardened skin.

The Blue Gem Kukri Knife Pattern in CS2

While most patterns feature a mix of prevailing gold and purple tones, with small additions of blue, the most valuable patterns are the ones that are almost entirely covered in rich, vibrant blue tone, which translates to the oh so familiar “Blue Gem” moniker. The allure of these blades lies in its immense value, because having a true Blue Gem raises your Inventory market cap by a few thousands, and in some cases by tens or even hundreds of thousands.

How Many Patterns Does the Kukri Knife Case Hardened Have? - A Tier List

As with many other ski patterns, there are a thousand possible pattern seeds for the Kukri Knife | Case Hardened, ranging from 0 to 999. In order to simplify and categorize all those countless patterns, the CS2 community came up with a few tiers that determine how valuable the pattern is and to which category it belongs. The higher tier is reserved for the skin with the most amount of the blue color on the visible part of the blade. Consequently, the blade with the least amount of blue color on the blade is the least valuable. There are true Blue Gem patterns, as well as a few lower quality Tiers that include the blades almost entirely covered in blue and outright half-blue-half-golden blades. The latter ones are usually significantly cheaper, though.
