What Are Sticker Slabs?
Sticker Slab is the latest feature introduced by Valve in the November 2025 CS2 update, coinciding with the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025. The Sticker Slab update allows players to put a sticker inside of a transparent case, and attach the case to a weapon, showcasing it in a similar fashion to the way one would boast their Charms in CS2.
The transparent charm-like container has no sticker by default, it is empty and you can select one of your stickers you wish to display to put it inside said container. The Sticker Slab tech allows players to seal any sticker from their inventories and the best part about it is that they can freely retrieve the sticker anytime they want by breaking the Sticker Slab, which will automatically return a sticker to their inventories. From now on, players don’t have to apply their expensive stickers without having a possibility to attach them to other weapon skins.
They also don’t have to worry if they should keep the sticker or sell it afterwards. The issue of sticker placement is also eliminated. It is a great tool to flex your rare sticker without any risks and commitments. The aesthetic of the acrylic-like plate might not be to everyone’s taste, but it’s still a better option than having a rare sticker just collecting dust in your inventory. In the end, you’re only losing the plastic cover once you want to retrieve your sticker back. And the best part about Sticker Slabs is that you can use them with virtually any sticker from both CS:GO and CS2 eras:
Old CS:GO relics (rare and expensive Katowice 2014 stickers)
Tournament stickers (paper, holo, foil, gold, glitter, embroidered – all of them)
Team logos, autographs, collabs with other games, community stickers etc.
What’s more important is that this update might actually drive the economy thanks to the ability to actually see expensive and limited stickers in-game. You might stumble upon a couple of iBUYPOWERs in the coming months thanks to this update. This update introduces a “try before you apply” mechanism, which is something we didn’t know we actually needed.

How To Use A Sticker Slab?
If you can’t wait to equip this transparent bad boy with your favorite sticker inside, then you should do the following:
Get a Sticker Slab – First off, you’ll need to buy a Sticker Slab. No worries, the price for one of those is only €0.45/$0.49 (depending on where you are from). The price is fixed and the items are always available.
Pick Your Sticker and Seal It – Choose a sticker you want to put inside of a slab, then right-click it and choose the “Seal in Sticker Slab” option and confirm the operation by pressing a green button.
Equip It – Once you have it inside the slab, you can right-click the slab with the sticker and select “Attach Charm” and choose the weapon you have in mind for this slab. You can attach the slab wherever you want without any placement restriction.
In order to extract the sticker from your slab, do the following:
Detach the charm from the weapon anytime like you would do with any charm.
Right-click the slab and proceed to "Extract Sticker" which will break the slab and return the sticker to your inventory.
It is worth noting that your sticker won’t have any kind of quality loss or wear when you get rid of the sticker slab, the sticker will look the same. Also, don’t put your sticker in a slab if you’re planning to sell it in a span of 7 days, as the trade protection works with stickers as well.
The Hunt For Unique Sticker Slab Numbers
Contrary to the opinion of many players, there are no unique sticker slab numbers. However, there are catalog numbers of the stickers. While they don’t represent a float value or a other unique quality, these numbers in the top right corner of the slab represent the catalog number out of 10,000+ existing stickers. Some people are already on the prowl for funny numbers like #420, #69 etc. This, without a surprise, translated into the price hikes on some of these stickers, with the most outrageous price hike happened to the Bomb Code sticker. Its price went up by 1500% in a matter of one day.

Final Thoughts
The Sticker Slab update is for sure a welcome one, it is a huge win for collectors, crafters and regular players alike. You don’t have to apply your favorite sticker and then regret having it on the wrong weapon skin. You can preserve, collect and trade your favorite stickers while having them attached to your skins. This update elevates the creative freedoms and kind of eliminates the sad “collect but never use” aspect of collecting stickers. What do you think about this update?
