G3SG1 | Digital Mesh (Battle-Scarred)
The G3SG1 | Digital Mesh (Battle-Scarred) is a Mil-Spec Grade rifle skin, its custom red, white, and charcoal DDPAT shown in the most heavily worn condition. It's the cheapest way into the digital finish, trading surface polish for the lowest entry price.
Design
The Digital Mesh is all about its custom DDPAT: a pixelated digital camo in red, white, and charcoal that scatters the rifle's shape into a busy grid of blocks. It's a community design by hexeth, and it comes with an in-game line — "Disruptingly intricate."
G3SG1 | Digital Mesh (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
Battle-Scarred tops out this finish's 0.00 to 0.80 float band. Damage is obvious here — heavy paint loss and bare metal across the body. Because the float is capped at 0.80 rather than the full 1.0, even this grade stops short of the most extreme wear a full-range skin reaches, and the DDPAT blocks stay identifiable through the scuffing.
G3SG1 | Digital Mesh Rarity
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade — the blue tier, a rung above the Consumer and Industrial grades in the standard weapon tiers. It's a common grade to pull, but it sits a notch above the entry-level whites.
G3SG1 | Digital Mesh Case and Collection
This finish sits in The Operation Broken Fang Collection and is unboxed from the Operation Broken Fang Case, released together with Operation Broken Fang in December 2020. As the case's most common tier, Mil-Spec pulls at around 79.92% (a rate shared across the tier's skins), and the market supplies nearly all copies today.
G3SG1 | Digital Mesh Patterns
Since the artwork is fixed, the paint seed makes no difference — the DDPAT blocks appear the same on every single copy, and there's no seed or "blue gem" version to seek. Wear and float remain the only things separating one copy from another.
StatTrak & Souvenir
You can also find a StatTrak™ G3SG1 | Digital Mesh, which adds a confirmed-kill counter; it's a scarcer, pricier drop from the Operation Broken Fang Case, and the counter is permanent, following the item through every trade and never getting wiped. There's no Souvenir variant, since Souvenir weapons come only from Major-tournament packages and this finish was never in one.
G3SG1 | Digital Mesh Price
Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the Digital Mesh — the entry point for players who value the look over the condition. If you want the DDPAT G3SG1 for as little as possible, this is the way in. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is the Battle-Scarred Digital Mesh still recognizable?
Yes. Despite the heavy wear, the DDPAT blocks stay dense enough to read at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting visible weathering in exchange for the lowest price, not losing the digital look — the pattern still comes through clearly at normal viewing distance.
Why doesn't the Battle-Scarred Digital Mesh look completely trashed?
Because the finish is float-capped at 0.80 instead of the full 1.0, its Battle-Scarred copies never reach the most extreme wear on the scale. Combined with a busy DDPAT that hides damage well, the Digital Mesh stays more legible here than many lighter, full-range skins do.
Is Battle-Scarred the best budget pick?
If lowest cost is the goal, yes. It's the cheapest grade and still shows the DDPAT clearly thanks to the wear-hiding pattern. If you'd rather a slightly tidier copy for a small step up, Well-Worn is next, but nothing beats Battle-Scarred on price alone.
