M249 | Warbird (Well-Worn)
The M249 | Warbird (Well-Worn) is a Mil-Spec Grade M249 finish styled as an aged warplane — blue with a yellow heat shield — here in a more heavily weathered state. Well-Worn deepens the design's built-in wear while the aircraft theme stays recognizable, for a lower price.
Design
Warbird wraps the machine gun in an aerial-combat look: a blue airframe with a yellow heat shield, finished to appear worn down by years of use. Designed by the community artist MultiH, it carries the in-game line: "This old bird deserves a rest."
M249 | Warbird (Well-Worn) Float and Wear
Within the finish's 0.05–0.65 float range, Well-Worn sits toward the upper end. Real scuffing and paint thinning build on the design's intended weathering, so the surface looks genuinely battered, though the blue body and yellow heat shield hold up as the anchors of the look. For buyers who prize price over polish, it delivers the theme for less.
M249 | Warbird Rarity
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade, the blue tier — the most commonly unboxed of the standard weapon grades. That abundance is what keeps Warbird reachable across every wear, even as a premium finish.
M249 | Warbird Case and Collection
This finish is drawn from The Shattered Web Collection and unboxes from the Shattered Web Case, which arrived with Operation Shattered Web in November 2019. As a group the blue-grade Mil-Spec skins drop about 79.92% of the time from the case (the odds are shared across the tier), making them the everyday finds of the set.
M249 | Warbird Patterns
No random pattern applies here — the fixed artwork puts the aged airframe in the same spot on every copy, so there's nothing like a paint seed or "blue gem" to track down. Wear grade and float alone tell one Warbird apart from the next.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak™ M249 | Warbird is out there too, bringing a confirmed-kill counter to the frame; it's a scarcer, costlier drop than the standard skin, and the tally is permanent, so it never gets wiped when the item is traded on. There's no Souvenir edition — Souvenir weapons are produced only from Major-tournament packages, and this case never appeared at a Major.
M249 | Warbird Price
Well-Worn sits near the bottom of the Warbird ladder, below Field-Tested and above only Battle-Scarred, making it a more affordable route into a finish that otherwise sits at premium prices. It's one of the cheaper ways to run the warplane design. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
How rough does the Well-Worn Warbird look?
Fairly battered, which suits the theme. On top of the design's built-in weathering, the surface shows clear scuffing and thinned paint with obvious edge damage — heavier than Field-Tested but not the full extreme of Battle-Scarred. The blue body and yellow heat shield survive, so it still reads as Warbird in-game.
Is Well-Worn worth buying over Field-Tested?
Only if price is the deciding factor. Field-Tested keeps the finish a little cleaner for a modest step up in cost, which most buyers prefer. Well-Worn makes sense when you want this premium warplane design as cheaply as possible without dropping all the way down to Battle-Scarred.
Is there a StatTrak Well-Worn Warbird?
Yes, StatTrak is available across the grades, including Well-Worn. It adds a kill counter to the frame and drops rarer than the standard finish, so it carries a premium. The count is permanent — it never gets wiped through trades or sales — even on a more weathered copy like this one.
