MAG-7 | Silver (Minimal Wear)

MAG-7 | Silver (Minimal Wear)

The MAG-7 | Silver (Minimal Wear) is an Industrial Grade shotgun finish built on a chrome base under transparent silver anodized paint. Because Silver's float is capped low, Minimal Wear still looks close to spotless — a reflective metallic coat with only the faintest wear, for less than Factory New.

Design

The finish is all metal and no clutter: a chrome undercoat sealed beneath a see-through silver anodized layer, lending the MAG-7 a mirror-like sheen with zero decals. Valve designed it, and it ships with a fitting in-game line: "There is beauty in simplicity."

MAG-7 | Silver (Minimal Wear) Float and Wear

Silver's float range is capped at just 0.08, so even the finish's top-worn grade barely wears at all. Minimal Wear sits at the upper edge of that tiny band, meaning Battle-Scarred and Well-Worn never exist for this skin — the coat stays reflective, with only the lightest scuffing on the sharpest edges of the body.

MAG-7 | Silver Rarity

Rarity: Industrial Grade. That's the light-blue class sitting just above Consumer near the foot of the weapon-grade ladder — common overall, but a step up from the entry tier.

MAG-7 | Silver Case and Collection

This finish is part of The Cobblestone Collection, which arrived with Operation Breakout in July 2014. It doesn't drop from a case; the version you buy comes via the collection's in-game drops and trade-up contracts, the normal route for an Industrial-tier skin.

MAG-7 | Silver Patterns

Because the artwork is fixed, the paint seed makes no difference to the appearance — every Silver carries the chrome-and-anodized coat identically. There's no seed lottery or blue gem to chase here; the only variables separating copies are wear and float.

StatTrak & Souvenir

No StatTrak edition was ever produced, since StatTrak counters are minted from weapon cases and this finish comes from a collection instead. A Souvenir version does exist alongside the regular one, made in Major-tournament souvenir packages — the earliest being the ESL One Cologne 2014 Cobblestone package, with more from later Majors.

MAG-7 | Silver Price

Minimal Wear sits just under Factory New on Silver's two-grade ladder while looking almost the same, which makes it the value pick within the finish's premium standing among MAG-7 skins. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Why are there only two wears of Silver?

Because the finish is float-capped at 0.08, the game can only ever roll it in the two lowest grades — Factory New and Minimal Wear. Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred require higher float values that this skin never reaches, so they simply don't exist for it.

Is Minimal Wear better value than Factory New?

For most buyers, yes. With the float capped so low, Minimal Wear stays close to pristine and reads almost identically to Factory New on this reflective coat, yet costs less. Unless you specifically want the top grade listed on your inventory, Minimal Wear is the smarter buy.

How do you get the regular Silver?

The standard finish comes from The Cobblestone Collection through in-game drops and trade-up contracts, not from opening a case. That collection route is also why the regular and Souvenir versions have separate origins — the Souvenir copies instead came from Major-tournament packages.
