MAG-7 | Storm (Battle-Scarred)
The MAG-7 | Storm (Battle-Scarred) is a Consumer Grade shotgun finish in stormy gray, in its most heavily worn condition. It's the cheapest way onto this overcast look, trading a beaten surface for the lowest entry price of the lot.
Design
Storm is about as pared-down as skins get: the MAG-7's parts are sprayed solid colors in a stormy palette — flat, moody grays evoking a cloudy sky, no decals or flourishes. It's a finish from Valve, shipping with a cryptic line: "It will be waiting for you at the monorail."
MAG-7 | Storm (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear
Storm's float is capped at 0.80 rather than the full 1.0, so even Battle-Scarred — the top of its 0.06 to 0.80 range — never reaches the most extreme wear. Expect heavy scuffing and broad paint loss across the body, but the gray coat stays legible, and the finish looks a touch milder here than a full-scale skin would at this grade.
MAG-7 | Storm Rarity
Rarity: Consumer Grade — the lowest white/gray rung of the standard weapon grades. It's the game's most common skin class, and that abundance is what keeps every wear of this MAG-7 finish affordable.
MAG-7 | Storm Case and Collection
Storm comes from The Overpass Collection, released alongside Operation Breakout in June 2014. No case unboxes the regular version — it's obtained through the collection's in-game drops and trade-up contracts, the customary path for a Consumer-tier finish.
MAG-7 | Storm Patterns
With a fixed design, the paint-seed index has zero influence on the look — the stormy scheme prints the same on every single copy. Nothing like a blue gem or rare seed exists to search out, which leaves wear and float as the only real differences between individual MAG-7s.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There is no StatTrak version, because StatTrak counters only appear on finishes minted inside weapon cases — and this one isn't. Beside the regular finish there's a Souvenir version instead, handed out in Major-tournament souvenir packages beginning with the ESL One Cologne 2014 Overpass package and running through several later Majors.
MAG-7 | Storm Price
Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of an already low-cost finish — the absolute entry point for players who care about the overcast look more than the condition. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is Battle-Scarred Storm still recognizable?
Yes. Despite the heavy scuffing and paint loss, the flat stormy gray scheme keeps the finish readable at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred here is about accepting visible wear for the lowest possible price, not losing the look — and the capped float keeps it from ever looking totally destroyed.
Why doesn't Battle-Scarred Storm look completely trashed?
Because the finish is float-capped at 0.80 instead of the usual 1.0, its Battle-Scarred copies never hit the harshest end of the wear scale. Paired with an already dark gray palette that disguises damage, the skin stays more legible at this grade than many lighter finishes.
Is Battle-Scarred the cheapest Storm?
Yes. It sits at the very bottom of the finish's price ladder, below Well-Worn and every cleaner grade. If your only goal is running the overcast MAG-7 look for as little as possible, Battle-Scarred is the way in — supply is broad, so it's easy to find cheaply.
