MAG-7 | Hard Water (Well-Worn)
The MAG-7 | Hard Water (Well-Worn) is a Mil-Spec shotgun skin with a gray anodized body and cool blue and cyan highlights, in a more weathered state. It's the cheapest way into the design, with wear the darker base still partly masks.
Design
Hard Water keeps things cool and modern: a gray anodized body worked over with blue and cyan highlights, a technological look built on color rather than graphics. The community artist Nannou designed it, and it ships with a fitting in-game line: "I wouldn't drink that."
MAG-7 | Hard Water (Well-Worn) Float and Wear
This finish is float-capped at 0.45, so it never reaches Battle-Scarred — Well-Worn is the most weathered grade it comes in. Sitting at the top of the 0.00–0.45 range, a Well-Worn copy shows clear scuffing and paint thinning across the body and edges, though the cap keeps it milder than a full-1.0 skin's roughest wear. The blue accents still carry the look.
MAG-7 | Hard Water Rarity
Rarity: Mil-Spec Grade, the blue tier — the most common colored grade among standard weapons. That commonness is what makes even a worn copy so cheap to pick up.
MAG-7 | Hard Water Case and Collection
Sitting in The Operation Hydra Collection, this MAG-7 is unboxed from the Operation Hydra Case that released together with Operation Hydra back in May 2017. As a group the Mil-Spec tier drops about 79.92% of the time (an odds figure shared across the tier's skins), so the market is well stocked at every wear.
MAG-7 | Hard Water Patterns
No random pattern variation applies to this finish — the artwork is fixed, meaning the anodized gray and blue highlights repeat identically from copy to copy. There's no paint seed or blue-gem edition to track down; wear and float are the only variables in play.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak™ MAG-7 | Hard Water is out there too, adding a confirmed-kill counter and originating from the Operation Hydra Case; it's scarcer and dearer than the plain skin, and the counter is permanent — it never gets wiped through trades or sales. There's no Souvenir version, as Souvenir weapons are minted only in Major-tournament packages and this finish was never part of one.
MAG-7 | Hard Water Price
Well-Worn is the cheapest grade of this shotgun, the entry-level way in for players who care more about the color than a flawless surface. In an already affordable line, it's the lowest rung on the ladder. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Why doesn't the Well-Worn Hard Water look completely trashed?
Because the finish is float-capped at 0.45 rather than the full 1.0, its Well-Worn copies never reach the extreme end of the wear scale — there's no Battle-Scarred grade at all. Paired with a gray base that hides scuffing, the shotgun stays readable even at its most weathered.
Is Well-Worn worth buying over Field-Tested?
Only if price is the priority. Field-Tested looks a fair bit tidier for a modest step up in cost, so most buyers prefer it. Well-Worn makes sense when you want the Hard Water design as cheaply as possible and don't mind visible scuffing on the body.
Is there a Battle-Scarred Hard Water?
No. The finish caps out at a float of 0.45, and Battle-Scarred requires wear above 0.45, so the game never produces one. Well-Worn is the most weathered grade this shotgun comes in — and thanks to the cap, it stays milder than a typical Battle-Scarred skin would.
