XM1014 | Black Tie (Minimal Wear)
The XM1014 | Black Tie (Minimal Wear) is a Restricted shotgun skin done in glossy black and white chrome. Minimal Wear keeps the monochrome shine looking nearly untouched while sitting a step below the top grade.
Design
The finish dresses the XM1014 in high-gloss black and white chrome, a formal, tuxedo-style look that stands apart from the usual camo wraps. Nextgenz built the design as a community piece, and it ships with a darkly comic in-game line: "We have Izaki and Cocinero. You need them for anything or can I just kill them now?"
XM1014 | Black Tie (Minimal Wear) Float and Wear
Just above Factory New on the finish's 0.00–0.75 float scale, Minimal Wear shows only the faintest edge wear if any. The chrome stays reflective and the contrast holds, so most copies are hard to tell from the top grade at a glance. It's the value-savvy way to run the formal look close to its best.
XM1014 | Black Tie Rarity
Rarity: Restricted. That's the purple tier, positioned directly under Classified and above Mil-Spec in the standard weapon grades — a genuinely uncommon rung to pull.
XM1014 | Black Tie Case and Collection
Part of The Chroma 3 Collection, this finish comes out of the Chroma 3 Case, which launched alongside the Trichromacy update in April 2016. Across the case the Restricted tier pulls at roughly 16% (a rate shared among the tier's skins), and since the case has left the active drop pool, supply is capped.
XM1014 | Black Tie Patterns
Because the chrome layout is fixed, the paint-seed index changes nothing about how a copy looks — there's no rare pattern or blue-gem roll to chase here. The wear grade and float value are the only variables that tell two copies apart.
StatTrak & Souvenir
A StatTrak edition does exist, adding a confirmed-kill counter; it's a scarcer, more expensive pull from the Chroma 3 Case, and that counter is permanent, following the item through trades and sales without ever being wiped. No Souvenir version was made, because Souvenir weapons only come from Major-tournament packages and this collection was never a Major drop.
XM1014 | Black Tie Price
Minimal Wear sits just below Factory New on the ladder, offering nearly the same chrome look for a slightly softer outlay — a sensible middle ground within an affordable mid-tier finish. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
Is Minimal Wear worth it over Factory New?
For most buyers, yes. Minimal Wear looks almost identical to Factory New — the chrome stays glossy and the contrast bold — but it costs a little less. Pay up for Factory New only if you want the absolute top float; otherwise this grade is the smarter value for the same monochrome look.
How worn does the Minimal Wear Black Tie look?
Hardly at all. Any wear is confined to the faintest scuffing on exposed edges, and the reflective chrome hides light marks well. To the eye it reads as an almost-untouched finish, which makes it a popular pick for players wanting near-top condition without the top-grade price.
Does the Black Tie come in StatTrak?
Yes. Because it drops from the Chroma 3 Case, a StatTrak version was minted alongside the regular finish. It adds a confirmed-kill counter that never gets wiped through trades or sales, and it's rarer and pricier than the standard skin, so expect to pay more for the tracked edition.
