M249 | Submerged (Battle-Scarred)

The M249 | Submerged (Battle-Scarred, BS) is a Consumer Grade M249 skin in teal desert camouflage, in its most heavily worn condition. Battle-Scarred is the cheapest way into the finish, trading pattern sharpness for the lowest entry price.

Design

The finish is a teal-recolored desert camo at its core — cool blue-green shapes laid over the machine gun in place of the usual sandy tones. It's a community design by dC, and it comes with the in-game line: "WE'VE BEEN SET UP! THEY'RE EVERYWHERE!"

M249 | Submerged (Battle-Scarred) Float and Wear

Battle-Scarred sits at the top of the 0.02–0.80 float range, and that cap matters: the finish never rolls past 0.80, so its roughest copies stay a touch milder than a full-scale skin's Battle-Scarred. Expect heavy scuffing and thinning across the camo, with the teal surviving enough to keep the pattern legible.

M249 | Submerged Rarity

Rarity: Consumer Grade — the white grade, the lowest tier of the standard weapon finishes. Its high commonness is why even a clean Submerged stays cheap, and the worn grades cheaper still.

M249 | Submerged Case and Collection

Submerged sits in The Anubis Collection, introduced in April 2023. There's no case behind the regular version — it's obtained as a collection drop rather than through unboxing, so it comes to players via the drop pool and the market.

M249 | Submerged Patterns

Since the artwork is locked in place, the teal camo appears the same way on every Submerged — there's no random paint seed and no "blue gem" seed to search for. The differences between copies come down purely to wear and float value.

StatTrak & Souvenir

No StatTrak Submerged was ever made — StatTrak comes from weapon cases, and this finish is a collection drop that never shipped in one. It does exist as both a regular and a Souvenir finish, with the Souvenir copies originating in the Paris 2023 Anubis Souvenir Package and later Major souvenir packages, each from a different Major tournament.

M249 | Submerged Price

Battle-Scarred is the cheapest grade of the finish — the entry-level way to run the teal camo for players who put the look ahead of the condition. On an already affordable Consumer-grade skin, it's about as low as the price gets. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.

FAQ

Is the Battle-Scarred Submerged still recognizable?

Yes. Despite heavy scuffing over the camo, the teal color and the pattern layout keep the design readable at a glance in-game. Battle-Scarred is about accepting visible wear for the lowest price, not losing the Submerged look — the blue-green camouflage still comes through clearly.

Why doesn't the Battle-Scarred Submerged look completely trashed?

Because the finish is float-capped at 0.80 rather than the full 1.0, its Battle-Scarred copies never reach the most extreme wear a skin can show. The camo takes clear damage, but that ceiling on float keeps the teal pattern a little more legible here than a fully uncapped skin would be at this grade.

Is Battle-Scarred the cheapest Submerged?

Yes. It's the most worn grade and the lowest-priced, sitting below Well-Worn (WW) on the ladder. On a Consumer-grade finish that's already inexpensive, it's the least you'll pay to own the teal camo, which suits players who want the design in a loadout without spending on surface condition.
