The SCAR-20 | Emerald (Minimal Wear) is a Restricted autosniper skin finished in a candied, translucent emerald green over a mirror-chrome base. Minimal Wear is the lower of the two grades this finish reaches, holding almost the entire jewel-green shine for less than the top condition.

Design

A mirror-chrome base coat sits underneath, then transparent emerald anodized paint is candied over it, letting light pass through the green and reflect off the metal below for that glassy, gemstone effect. Valve designed the finish, and it carries a fitting in-game quote: "This is what the great Sebastien Hennequet has been reduced to? A nagging school marm? What happened to you..."

SCAR-20 | Emerald (Minimal Wear) Float and Wear

Because the finish is float-capped at 0.08, its full range is only 0.00–0.08, so Minimal Wear is the most worn grade you can get — there is no Field-Tested or below. At this level the emerald coat stays richly saturated and the chrome depth still reads clearly, with only the faintest wear on the edges that most eyes will miss.

Rarity: Restricted. That's the blue tier of the standard weapon grades, a notch up the ladder, and it makes this one of the more prized finishes in the SCAR-20 lineup.

SCAR-20 | Emerald Case and Collection

Part of The Alpha Collection, this finish arrived with Operation Bravo in September 2013. The Alpha Collection dropped in-game during the operation instead of coming from a case, so players earned copies as operation rewards; now that the operation has ended, supply is capped and almost all trading happens on the open market.

SCAR-20 | Emerald Patterns

There's no random pattern roll here — the design is fixed, so the paint seed doesn't shift the emerald layer at all, and no copy is rarer than another for its seed. That rules out any blue-gem hunt; only the wear grade and float value separate one from the next.

StatTrak & Souvenir

A StatTrak edition of this finish doesn't exist — StatTrak versions come out of cases, and this Alpha Collection drop was never released with a counter. Souvenir is off the table too: Souvenir weapons are handed out only through Major-tournament packages, and this finish was never part of one.
