Nova | Walnut (Well-Worn)
The Nova | Walnut (Well-Worn, WW) is a Consumer Grade Nova finish with a figured walnut wood stock in warm brown, shown in a genuinely weathered state. Well-Worn trades surface condition for a lower spot on the price ladder while keeping the wood look recognizable.
Design
The finish is classic and restrained — a figured walnut stock in warm brown tones giving the Nova the feel of a traditional wood-stocked shotgun, with no graphics to break the natural grain. Valve is behind the design, which leans on real wood texture rather than any printed motif.
Nova | Walnut (Well-Worn) Float and Wear
On a float scale of 0.06–0.80, Well-Worn sits high, and it shows: expect noticeable scuffing and finish thinning across the body and edges where the wood grain wears through. The walnut look stays readable, but there's no pretending this grade is fresh — it's for buyers who value the price over a polished surface.
Nova | Walnut Rarity
Rarity lands at Consumer Grade — the white tier, bottom of the standard weapon ladder. The everyday classification undersells the reality, because the retired collection behind the finish means far fewer copies exist than a base-tier label would imply.
Nova | Walnut Case and Collection
The finish comes from The Inferno Collection, which arrived with the "Arms Deal" update back in August 2013. No case unboxes it; it spreads through collection drops, and with the collection long discontinued, nearly every copy now changes hands on the open market.
Nova | Walnut Patterns
Pattern hunting doesn't apply. Because the finish is fixed, the paint seed has no bearing on the artwork — the walnut grain is placed identically on each unit, with no premium seed or blue gem in the mix. Wear grade alone separates one copy from the next.
StatTrak & Souvenir
There's a standard finish and a Souvenir finish, and that's it — no StatTrak, since only weapon cases mint that counter and the Inferno Collection never had one. Souvenir copies debuted in the ESL One Cologne 2014 Inferno Souvenir Package and later surfaced across other Major-tournament souvenir packages.
Nova | Walnut Price
Well-Worn sits near the bottom of the finish's price ladder, above only Battle-Scarred (BS), making it one of the cheaper routes into the design. Even so, the retired-supply floor keeps it from being truly throwaway money. It's available to buy on Skin.Land with instant delivery and no hidden fees.
FAQ
How rough does the Well-Worn Walnut look?
Fairly rough. You'll see clear finish loss and scuffing across the wood grain and edges, more than Field-Tested (FT) but short of the heavy battering at Battle-Scarred. The warm brown tones keep the skin identifiable in-game, so it still plays as a Walnut even with visible age on it.
Is Well-Worn worth it over Field-Tested?
Mainly if budget is the deciding factor. Field-Tested looks a good deal tidier for a modest step up in cost, so most buyers land there. Well-Worn makes sense when you want the wood finish as cheaply as possible without going all the way down to Battle-Scarred.
Does wear change the wood color?
Not the tone itself — the warm brown walnut stays the same hue at every grade. What changes is coverage: higher float means more of the finish scuffs and thins, exposing the surface underneath at the edges. At Well-Worn that thinning is visible, but the overall wood tone still comes through.
